ਬੀਤੇ ਕੱਲ੍ਹ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਫ਼ੌਜ ਦੇ ਲੈਫ਼ਟੀਨੈਂਟ ਜਨਰਲ ਸੁਮੇਰ ਇਵਾਨ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਇੱਕ ਚੈਨਲ ਨਾਲ ਇੰਟਰਵੀਊ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਹਾਲੀਆ ਭਾਰਤ ਪਾਕਿਸਤਾਨ ਤਣਾਅ ਵਿਚਕਾਰ ਸੱਚਖੰਡ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਹਰਿਮੰਦਰ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਵਿਖੇ ਫੌਜ ਦੀਆਂ ਹਵਾਈ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਆ ਗੰਨਾਂ ਲਗਾਉਣ ਸਬੰਧੀ ਕੀਤੇ ਗਏ ਦਾਅਵੇ ਨੂੰ ਮੂਲੋਂ ਰੱਦ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਸੱਚਖੰਡ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਹਰਿਮੰਦਰ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦੇ ਐਡੀਸ਼ਨਲ ਮੁੱਖ ਗ੍ਰੰਥੀ ਸਿੰਘ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਗਿਆਨੀ ਅਮਰਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਹੈਰਾਨੀਜਨਕ ਕਰਾਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਪੱਸ਼ਟ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਬੀਤੇ ਦਿਨੀਂ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਸਰ ਜਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ਾਸਨ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਬਲੈਕਆਊਟ ਸਬੰਧੀ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ ਗਈਆਂ ਹਦਾਇਤਾਂ ਦੇ ਮੱਦੇਨਜ਼ਰ ਸੱਚਖੰਡ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਹਰਿਮੰਦਰ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਸਹਿਯੋਗ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ, ਇਸ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਦਰਬਾਰ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਸਮੂਹ ਦੀਆਂ ਬਾਹਰਲੀਆਂ ਤੇ ਉੱਪਰਲੀਆਂ ਲਾਈਟਾਂ ਤੈਅ ਸਮੇਂ ਸੀਮਾ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਬੰਦ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ ਗਈਆਂ ਪ੍ਰੰਤੂ ਜਿੱਥੇ-ਜਿੱਥੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਦਰਬਾਰ ਦੀ ਮਰਿਆਦਾ ਚਲਦੀ ਹੈ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਥਾਵਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਲਾਈਟਾਂ ਚੱਲਦੀਆਂ ਰੱਖ ਕੇ ਪੂਰੀ ਜਿੰਮੇਵਾਰੀ ਨਾਲ ਮਰਿਆਦਾ ਨਿਭਾਈ ਗਈ ਹੈ।
ਗਿਆਨੀ ਅਮਰਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਫੌਜ ਦੇ ਲੈਫਟੀਨੈਂਟ ਜਨਰਲ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਇਹ ਦਾਅਵਾ ਕਰਨਾ ਕਿ ਆਪਰੇਸ਼ਨ ਸਿੰਧੂਰ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਹੈਡ ਗ੍ਰੰਥੀ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਫੌਜ ਨੂੰ ਸੱਚਖੰਡ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਹਰਿਮੰਦਰ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਵਿਖੇ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਹਵਾਈ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਆ ਗੰਨਾਂ ਲਗਾਉਣ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਵਾਨਗੀ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਗਈ ਹੈ, ਇਹ ਮੂਲੋਂ ਗਲਤ ਹੈ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਅਜਿਹੀ ਕੋਈ ਪ੍ਰਵਾਨਗੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਗਈ ਅਤੇ ਨਾ ਹੀ ਕੋਈ ਗੰਨਾਂ ਲਗਾਉਣ ਜਿਹਾ ਘਟਨਾਕ੍ਰਮ ਇਸ ਪਾਵਨ ਅਸਥਾਨ ਉੱਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਵਾਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਦਰਬਾਰ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਸਮੂਹ, ਲੰਗਰ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਰਾਮਦਾਸ ਜੀ, ਸ੍ਰੀ ਅਖੰਡ ਪਾਠ ਸਾਹਿਬਾਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਅਸਥਾਨ ਅਤੇ ਹੋਰ ਸਬੰਧਤ ਗੁਰ ਅਸਥਾਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਰੋਜ਼ਾਨਾ ਚੱਲਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਮਰਿਆਦਾ ਲਾਜ਼ਮੀ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਿਸੇ ਕਿਸਮ ਦਾ ਵਿਘਨ ਪਾਉਣ ਦਾ ਅਧਿਕਾਰ ਕਿਸੇ ਨੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਬੀਤੇ ਦਿਨੀਂ ਬਣੇ ਹਾਲਾਤ ਦੇ ਚੱਲਦਿਆਂ ਵੀ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਹਰਿਮੰਦਰ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਸਮੂਹ ਵਿਖੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਦਰਬਾਰ ਦੀ ਸਮੁੱਚੀ ਮਰਿਆਦਾ ਪੂਰਨ ਸਮਰਪਣ ਭਾਵ ਅਤੇ ਦ੍ਰਿੜ੍ਹਤਾ ਨਾਲ ਜਾਰੀ ਰੱਖੀ ਗਈ ਹੈ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਬਲੈਕਆਊਟ ਦੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਕਿਸੇ ਵੀ ਗੁਰ ਅਸਥਾਨ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਮਰਿਆਦਾ ਚੱਲਦੀ ਹੋਵੇ ਉਸ ਦੀਆਂ ਲਾਈਟਾਂ ਬੰਦ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ ਗਈਆਂ। ਸਿੰਘ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਫ਼ੌਜ ਦੇ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀ ਨੇ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਬਿਆਨ ਕਿਉਂ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਇਸ ਬਾਰੇ ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਹੀ ਸਪੱਸ਼ਟ ਕਰ ਸਕਦੇ ਹਨ ਪਰੰਤੂ ਅਜਿਹੀ ਗੱਲ ਕਹੀ ਜਾਣੀ ਬਹੁਤ ਗ਼ਲਤ ਤੇ ਹੈਰਾਨੀਜਨਕ ਹੈ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਬਤੌਰ ਐਡੀਸ਼ਨਲ ਮੁੱਖ ਗ੍ਰੰਥੀ ਉਹ ਇਹ ਗੱਲ ਦਾਅਵੇ ਨਾਲ ਕਹਿ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ ਕਿ ਗੰਨਾਂ ਲਗਾਉਣ ਸਬੰਧੀ ਕੋਈ ਪ੍ਰਵਾਨਗੀ ਫ਼ੌਜ ਨੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਗਈ।
ਫ਼ੌਜ ਦੇ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਇਸ ਬਿਆਨ ਦੇ ਸਬੰਧ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼੍ਰੋਮਣੀ ਗੁਰਦੁਆਰਾ ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧਕ ਕਮੇਟੀ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਐਡਵੋਕੇਟ ਹਰਜਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਧਾਮੀ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਅਤੇ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ਾਸ਼ਨ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਬਲੈਕਆਊਟ ਦੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਲਾਈਟਾਂ ਬੰਦ ਕਰਵਾਉਣ ਸਬੰਧੀ ਸੰਪਰਕ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ, ਜਿਸ ਸਬੰਧੀ ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧਕੀ ਤੌਰ ਉੱਤੇ ਜ਼ਿੰਮੇਵਾਰੀ ਸਮਝਦਿਆਂ ਅਸੀਂ ਪੂਰਨ ਸਹਿਯੋਗ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਫ਼ੌਜ ਦੇ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀਆਂ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਸੱਚਖੰਡ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਹਰਿਮੰਦਰ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਵਿਖੇ ਹਵਾਈ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਆ ਗੰਨਾਂ ਲਗਾਉਣ ਸਬੰਧੀ ਕਿਸੇ ਕਿਸਮ ਦਾ ਸੰਪਰਕ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ਾਸਨ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਜਾਰੀ ਹਦਾਇਤਾਂ ਦਾ ਪਾਲਣ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਐਡੀਸ਼ਨਲ ਮੁੱਖ ਗ੍ਰੰਥੀ ਗਿਆਨੀ ਅਮਰਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਨਾਲ ਸਲਾਹ ਕਰਕੇ ਬਾਹਰੀ ਲਾਈਟਾਂ ਹੀ ਬੰਦ ਕਰਵਾਈਆਂ ਗਈਆਂ ਸਨ। ਐਡਵੋਕੇਟ ਧਾਮੀ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਬਲੈਕਆਊਟ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਵੀ ਸੱਚਖੰਡ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਹਰਿਮੰਦਰ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਵਿਖੇ ਵੱਡੀ ਗਿਣਤੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੰਗਤ ਨਤਮਸਤਕ ਹੋਣ ਤੇ ਸੇਵਾ ਕਰਨ ਪੁੱਜਦੀ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਜੇਕਰ ਗੰਨਾਂ ਲਗਾਉਣ ਜਿਹੀ ਕੋਈ ਘਟਨਾ ਵਾਪਰੀ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਤਾਂ ਸੰਗਤ ਨੇ ਵੀ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਜ਼ਰੂਰ ਦੇਖਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਨੋਟਿਸ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੁੰਦਾ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਫੌਜ ਦੇ ਇੱਕ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਅਜਿਹੀ ਗੱਲ ਨੂੰ ਅੱਗੇ ਵਧਾਉਣਾ ਹੈਰਾਨੀਜਨਕ ਹੈ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਭਾਰਤ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਗੱਲ ਸਪੱਸ਼ਟ ਕਰਨੀ ਚਾਹੀਦੀ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਅਜਿਹੇ ਬਿਆਨ ਫੌਜ ਦੇ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀਆਂ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਕਿਉਂ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਜਾ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਬੀਤੇ ਦਿਨੀਂ ਬਣੇ ਤਣਾਅਪੂਰਨ ਹਾਲਾਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਦੇਸ਼ ਅਤੇ ਫੌਜ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਨਿਭਾਈ ਭੂਮਿਕਾ ਸ਼ਲਾਘਾਯੋਗ ਹੈ ਪਰੰਤੂ ਸਿੱਖਾਂ ਦੇ ਕੇਂਦਰੀ ਧਾਰਮਿਕ ਅਸਥਾਨ ਬਾਰੇ ਕਈ ਦਿਨਾਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਅਜਿਹੀ ਗਲਤ ਗੱਲ ਫੈਲਾਉਣੀ ਹੈਰਾਨੀਜਨਕ ਹੈ। ਸ਼੍ਰੋਮਣੀ ਕਮੇਟੀ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਹੋਣ ਵਜੋਂ ਐਡਵੋਕੇਟ ਧਾਮੀ ਨੇ ਸਪੱਸ਼ਟ ਕੀਤਾ ਕਿ ਗੰਨਾਂ ਲਗਾਉਣ ਜਿਹੀ ਕੋਈ ਪ੍ਰਵਾਨਗੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਗਈ।
ਸੱਚਖੰਡ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਹਰਿਮੰਦਰ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦੇ ਹੈੱਡ ਗ੍ਰੰਥੀ ਸਿੰਘ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਗਿਆਨੀ ਰਘਬੀਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਵੀ ਸਪੱਸ਼ਟ ਕੀਤਾ ਕਿ ਭਾਵੇਂ ਕਿ ਜਦੋਂ ਬੀਤੇ ਦਿਨੀਂ ਫ਼ੌਜ ਦੀ ਕਾਰਵਾਈ ਚੱਲ ਰਹੀ ਸੀ, ਉਹ ਉਸ ਸਮੇਂ ਵਿਦੇਸ਼ ਦੌਰੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਸਨ, ਪਰੰਤੂ ਇਸ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਗੰਨਾਂ ਲਗਾਉਣ ਸਬੰਧੀ ਕੋਈ ਗੱਲਬਾਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋਈ ਅਤੇ ਨਾ ਹੀ ਅਜਿਹੀ ਕੋਈ ਗੱਲ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਦਰਬਾਰ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਵਿਖੇ ਵਾਪਰੀ ਹੈ। ਗਿਆਨੀ ਰਘਬੀਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਫੌਜ ਦੇ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਬਿਆਨਬਾਜ਼ੀ ਨੂੰ ਹੈਰਾਨੀਜਨਕ ਦੱਸਿਆ।

Indian Army Officer’s Statement About Deploying Air Defence Guns at Sri Harmandar Sahib is Shocking – Head Granthi
– Advocate Dhami Also States No Such Permission Was Granted, Nor Did Any Such Incident Occur

Responding to the recent claim made by Indian Army Lieutenant General Sumer Ivan D’Cunha during an interview with a channel—where he stated that air defence guns were deployed at Sri Harmandar Sahib amid the recent India-Pakistan tensions—Giani Amarjeet Singh, Additional Head Granthi of Sachkhand Sri Harmandar Sahib, has called the statement shockingly untrue and outrightly rejected it.
He clarified that the management of Sri Harmandar Sahib had cooperated with the district administration’s guidelines regarding the city-wide blackout by switching off exterior and upper lights of the complex within the specified time frame. However, lights at locations where religious code of conduct (Maryada) is observed were kept on, and the sanctity the religious place was maintained with full responsibility.
Giani Amarjeet Singh asserted that the claim made by the Army officer that the Head Granthi gave permission for the deploying air defence guns during “Operation Sindhoor” is completely false. He emphasized that no such permission was ever granted, nor was any such deployment allowed at this sacred site. He reiterated that the daily religious practices at Sri Darbar Sahib, the Langar of Guru Ramdas Ji, places of Sri Akhand Path Sahib, and other related gurdwaras were conducted as per strict protocols, and no one has the right to interfere with them.
Despite the tense situation in recent days, the full religious code of conduct continued at Sri Harmandar Sahib with dedication and discipline. Giani Amarjeet Singh made it clear that no lights were turned off at any religious site where Maryada was being observed, even during the blackout. He expressed surprise and concern over why such a statement was made by the Army officer and asserted confidently that no permission for installing guns was ever given.
Regarding the same statement by Army officer, the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) President Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami also said that while the administration contacted them only about switching off the lights during the blackout, they fully cooperated in the interest of administrative responsibility while maintaining the sanctity of the ongoing Maryada. However, there was no contact from any Army official regarding the installation of air defence guns at Sri Harmandar Sahib.
He said that based on consultation with Additional Head Granthi Giani Amarjeet Singh, only the outer lights were turned off following the district administration’s guidelines. Advocate Dhami pointed out that even during the blackout, large numbers of devotees continued to visit and do Sewa (voluntary service) at Sri Harmandar Sahib, and had there been any such event like gun deployment, the Sangat (congregation) would certainly have noticed and seen it.
He expressed surprise that an Army officer would propagate such a claim and demanded that the Government of India clarify why such statements are being issued by Army officials. Dhami acknowledged the commendable role played by the Army and the country during the tense circumstances, but emphasized that spreading such falsehoods about the central religious place of Sikhs days after the events is shockingly untrue. As SGPC President, Advocate Dhami clearly stated that no permission was ever granted for the deployment of guns.
Sri Harmandar Sahib’s Head Granthi, Giani Raghbir Singh, also clarified that although he was on an international visit during the Army operation, there was no communication with him regarding any gun deployment, nor did any such incident occur at Sri Darbar Sahib. He too described the Army officer’s statement as shockingly untrue.

ਬੀਤੇ ਕੱਲ੍ਹ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਫ਼ੌਜ ਦੇ ਲੈਫ਼ਟੀਨੈਂਟ ਜਨਰਲ ਸੁਮੇਰ ਇਵਾਨ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਇੱਕ ਚੈਨਲ ਨਾਲ ਇੰਟਰਵੀਊ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਹਾਲੀਆ ਭਾਰਤ ਪਾਕਿਸਤਾਨ ਤਣਾਅ ਵਿਚਕਾਰ ਸੱਚਖੰਡ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਹਰਿਮੰਦਰ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਵਿਖੇ ਫੌਜ ਦੀਆਂ ਹਵਾਈ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਆ ਗੰਨਾਂ ਲਗਾਉਣ ਸਬੰਧੀ ਕੀਤੇ ਗਏ ਦਾਅਵੇ ਨੂੰ ਮੂਲੋਂ ਰੱਦ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਸੱਚਖੰਡ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਹਰਿਮੰਦਰ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦੇ ਐਡੀਸ਼ਨਲ ਮੁੱਖ ਗ੍ਰੰਥੀ ਸਿੰਘ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਗਿਆਨੀ ਅਮਰਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਹੈਰਾਨੀਜਨਕ ਕਰਾਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਪੱਸ਼ਟ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਬੀਤੇ ਦਿਨੀਂ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਸਰ ਜਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ਾਸਨ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਬਲੈਕਆਊਟ ਸਬੰਧੀ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ ਗਈਆਂ ਹਦਾਇਤਾਂ ਦੇ ਮੱਦੇਨਜ਼ਰ ਸੱਚਖੰਡ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਹਰਿਮੰਦਰ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਸਹਿਯੋਗ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ, ਇਸ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਦਰਬਾਰ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਸਮੂਹ ਦੀਆਂ ਬਾਹਰਲੀਆਂ ਤੇ ਉੱਪਰਲੀਆਂ ਲਾਈਟਾਂ ਤੈਅ ਸਮੇਂ ਸੀਮਾ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਬੰਦ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ ਗਈਆਂ ਪ੍ਰੰਤੂ ਜਿੱਥੇ-ਜਿੱਥੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਦਰਬਾਰ ਦੀ ਮਰਿਆਦਾ ਚਲਦੀ ਹੈ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਥਾਵਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਲਾਈਟਾਂ ਚੱਲਦੀਆਂ ਰੱਖ ਕੇ ਪੂਰੀ ਜਿੰਮੇਵਾਰੀ ਨਾਲ ਮਰਿਆਦਾ ਨਿਭਾਈ ਗਈ ਹੈ। ਗਿਆਨੀ ਅਮਰਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਫੌਜ ਦੇ ਲੈਫਟੀਨੈਂਟ ਜਨਰਲ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਇਹ ਦਾਅਵਾ ਕਰਨਾ ਕਿ ਆਪਰੇਸ਼ਨ ਸਿੰਧੂਰ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਹੈਡ ਗ੍ਰੰਥੀ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਫੌਜ ਨੂੰ ਸੱਚਖੰਡ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਹਰਿਮੰਦਰ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਵਿਖੇ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਹਵਾਈ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਆ ਗੰਨਾਂ ਲਗਾਉਣ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਵਾਨਗੀ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਗਈ ਹੈ, ਇਹ ਮੂਲੋਂ ਗਲਤ ਹੈ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਅਜਿਹੀ ਕੋਈ ਪ੍ਰਵਾਨਗੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਗਈ ਅਤੇ ਨਾ ਹੀ ਕੋਈ ਗੰਨਾਂ ਲਗਾਉਣ ਜਿਹਾ ਘਟਨਾਕ੍ਰਮ ਇਸ ਪਾਵਨ ਅਸਥਾਨ ਉੱਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਵਾਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਦਰਬਾਰ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਸਮੂਹ, ਲੰਗਰ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਰਾਮਦਾਸ ਜੀ, ਸ੍ਰੀ ਅਖੰਡ ਪਾਠ ਸਾਹਿਬਾਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਅਸਥਾਨ ਅਤੇ ਹੋਰ ਸਬੰਧਤ ਗੁਰ ਅਸਥਾਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਰੋਜ਼ਾਨਾ ਚੱਲਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਮਰਿਆਦਾ ਲਾਜ਼ਮੀ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਿਸੇ ਕਿਸਮ ਦਾ ਵਿਘਨ ਪਾਉਣ ਦਾ ਅਧਿਕਾਰ ਕਿਸੇ ਨੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਬੀਤੇ ਦਿਨੀਂ ਬਣੇ ਹਾਲਾਤ ਦੇ ਚੱਲਦਿਆਂ ਵੀ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਹਰਿਮੰਦਰ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਸਮੂਹ ਵਿਖੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਦਰਬਾਰ ਦੀ ਸਮੁੱਚੀ ਮਰਿਆਦਾ ਪੂਰਨ ਸਮਰਪਣ ਭਾਵ ਅਤੇ ਦ੍ਰਿੜ੍ਹਤਾ ਨਾਲ ਜਾਰੀ ਰੱਖੀ ਗਈ ਹੈ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਬਲੈਕਆਊਟ ਦੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਕਿਸੇ ਵੀ ਗੁਰ ਅਸਥਾਨ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਮਰਿਆਦਾ ਚੱਲਦੀ ਹੋਵੇ ਉਸ ਦੀਆਂ ਲਾਈਟਾਂ ਬੰਦ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ ਗਈਆਂ। ਸਿੰਘ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਫ਼ੌਜ ਦੇ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀ ਨੇ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਬਿਆਨ ਕਿਉਂ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਇਸ ਬਾਰੇ ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਹੀ ਸਪੱਸ਼ਟ ਕਰ ਸਕਦੇ ਹਨ ਪਰੰਤੂ ਅਜਿਹੀ ਗੱਲ ਕਹੀ ਜਾਣੀ ਬਹੁਤ ਗ਼ਲਤ ਤੇ ਹੈਰਾਨੀਜਨਕ ਹੈ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਬਤੌਰ ਐਡੀਸ਼ਨਲ ਮੁੱਖ ਗ੍ਰੰਥੀ ਉਹ ਇਹ ਗੱਲ ਦਾਅਵੇ ਨਾਲ ਕਹਿ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ ਕਿ ਗੰਨਾਂ ਲਗਾਉਣ ਸਬੰਧੀ ਕੋਈ ਪ੍ਰਵਾਨਗੀ ਫ਼ੌਜ ਨੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਗਈ।
ਫ਼ੌਜ ਦੇ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਇਸ ਬਿਆਨ ਦੇ ਸਬੰਧ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼੍ਰੋਮਣੀ ਗੁਰਦੁਆਰਾ ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧਕ ਕਮੇਟੀ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਐਡਵੋਕੇਟ ਹਰਜਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਧਾਮੀ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਅਤੇ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ਾਸ਼ਨ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਬਲੈਕਆਊਟ ਦੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਲਾਈਟਾਂ ਬੰਦ ਕਰਵਾਉਣ ਸਬੰਧੀ ਸੰਪਰਕ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ, ਜਿਸ ਸਬੰਧੀ ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧਕੀ ਤੌਰ ਉੱਤੇ ਜ਼ਿੰਮੇਵਾਰੀ ਸਮਝਦਿਆਂ ਅਸੀਂ ਪੂਰਨ ਸਹਿਯੋਗ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਫ਼ੌਜ ਦੇ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀਆਂ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਸੱਚਖੰਡ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਹਰਿਮੰਦਰ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਵਿਖੇ ਹਵਾਈ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਆ ਗੰਨਾਂ ਲਗਾਉਣ ਸਬੰਧੀ ਕਿਸੇ ਕਿਸਮ ਦਾ ਸੰਪਰਕ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ਾਸਨ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਜਾਰੀ ਹਦਾਇਤਾਂ ਦਾ ਪਾਲਣ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਐਡੀਸ਼ਨਲ ਮੁੱਖ ਗ੍ਰੰਥੀ ਗਿਆਨੀ ਅਮਰਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਨਾਲ ਸਲਾਹ ਕਰਕੇ ਬਾਹਰੀ ਲਾਈਟਾਂ ਹੀ ਬੰਦ ਕਰਵਾਈਆਂ ਗਈਆਂ ਸਨ। ਐਡਵੋਕੇਟ ਧਾਮੀ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਬਲੈਕਆਊਟ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਵੀ ਸੱਚਖੰਡ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਹਰਿਮੰਦਰ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਵਿਖੇ ਵੱਡੀ ਗਿਣਤੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੰਗਤ ਨਤਮਸਤਕ ਹੋਣ ਤੇ ਸੇਵਾ ਕਰਨ ਪੁੱਜਦੀ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਜੇਕਰ ਗੰਨਾਂ ਲਗਾਉਣ ਜਿਹੀ ਕੋਈ ਘਟਨਾ ਵਾਪਰੀ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਤਾਂ ਸੰਗਤ ਨੇ ਵੀ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਜ਼ਰੂਰ ਦੇਖਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਨੋਟਿਸ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੁੰਦਾ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਫੌਜ ਦੇ ਇੱਕ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਅਜਿਹੀ ਗੱਲ ਨੂੰ ਅੱਗੇ ਵਧਾਉਣਾ ਹੈਰਾਨੀਜਨਕ ਹੈ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਭਾਰਤ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਗੱਲ ਸਪੱਸ਼ਟ ਕਰਨੀ ਚਾਹੀਦੀ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਅਜਿਹੇ ਬਿਆਨ ਫੌਜ ਦੇ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀਆਂ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਕਿਉਂ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਜਾ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਬੀਤੇ ਦਿਨੀਂ ਬਣੇ ਤਣਾਅਪੂਰਨ ਹਾਲਾਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਦੇਸ਼ ਅਤੇ ਫੌਜ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਨਿਭਾਈ ਭੂਮਿਕਾ ਸ਼ਲਾਘਾਯੋਗ ਹੈ ਪਰੰਤੂ ਸਿੱਖਾਂ ਦੇ ਕੇਂਦਰੀ ਧਾਰਮਿਕ ਅਸਥਾਨ ਬਾਰੇ ਕਈ ਦਿਨਾਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਅਜਿਹੀ ਗਲਤ ਗੱਲ ਫੈਲਾਉਣੀ ਹੈਰਾਨੀਜਨਕ ਹੈ। ਸ਼੍ਰੋਮਣੀ ਕਮੇਟੀ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਹੋਣ ਵਜੋਂ ਐਡਵੋਕੇਟ ਧਾਮੀ ਨੇ ਸਪੱਸ਼ਟ ਕੀਤਾ ਕਿ ਗੰਨਾਂ ਲਗਾਉਣ ਜਿਹੀ ਕੋਈ ਪ੍ਰਵਾਨਗੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਗਈ।
ਸੱਚਖੰਡ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਹਰਿਮੰਦਰ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦੇ ਹੈੱਡ ਗ੍ਰੰਥੀ ਸਿੰਘ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਗਿਆਨੀ ਰਘਬੀਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਵੀ ਸਪੱਸ਼ਟ ਕੀਤਾ ਕਿ ਭਾਵੇਂ ਕਿ ਜਦੋਂ ਬੀਤੇ ਦਿਨੀਂ ਫ਼ੌਜ ਦੀ ਕਾਰਵਾਈ ਚੱਲ ਰਹੀ ਸੀ, ਉਹ ਉਸ ਸਮੇਂ ਵਿਦੇਸ਼ ਦੌਰੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਸਨ, ਪਰੰਤੂ ਇਸ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਗੰਨਾਂ ਲਗਾਉਣ ਸਬੰਧੀ ਕੋਈ ਗੱਲਬਾਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋਈ ਅਤੇ ਨਾ ਹੀ ਅਜਿਹੀ ਕੋਈ ਗੱਲ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਦਰਬਾਰ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਵਿਖੇ ਵਾਪਰੀ ਹੈ। ਗਿਆਨੀ ਰਘਬੀਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਫੌਜ ਦੇ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਬਿਆਨਬਾਜ਼ੀ ਨੂੰ ਹੈਰਾਨੀਜਨਕ ਦੱਸਿਆ।
Indian Army Officer’s Statement About Deploying Air Defence Guns at Sri Harmandar Sahib is Shocking– Head Granthi
– Advocate Dhami Also States No Such Permission Was Granted, Nor Did Any Such Incident Occur

Responding to the recent claim made by Indian Army Lieutenant General Sumer Ivan D’Cunha during an interview with a channel—where he stated that air defence guns were deployed at Sri Harmandar Sahib amid the recent India-Pakistan tensions—Giani Amarjeet Singh, Additional Head Granthi of Sachkhand Sri Harmandar Sahib, has called the statement shockingly untrue and outrightly rejected it.
He clarified that the management of Sri Harmandar Sahib had cooperated with the district administration’s guidelines regarding the city-wide blackout by switching off exterior and upper lights of the complex within the specified time frame. However, lights at locations where religious code of conduct (Maryada) is observed were kept on, and the sanctity the religious place was maintained with full responsibility.
Giani Amarjeet Singh asserted that the claim made by the Army officer that the Head Granthi gave permission for the deploying air defence guns during “Operation Sindhoor” is completely false. He emphasized that no such permission was ever granted, nor was any such deployment allowed at this sacred site. He reiterated that the daily religious practices at Sri Darbar Sahib, the Langar of Guru Ramdas Ji, places of Sri Akhand Path Sahib, and other related gurdwaras were conducted as per strict protocols, and no one has the right to interfere with them.
Despite the tense situation in recent days, the full religious code of conduct continued at Sri Harmandar Sahib with dedication and discipline. Giani Amarjeet Singh made it clear that no lights were turned off at any religious site where Maryada was being observed, even during the blackout. He expressed surprise and concern over why such a statement was made by the Army officer and asserted confidently that no permission for installing guns was ever given.
Regarding the same statement by Army officer, the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) President Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami also said that while the administration contacted them only about switching off the lights during the blackout, they fully cooperated in the interest of administrative responsibility while maintaining the sanctity of the ongoing Maryada. However, there was no contact from any Army official regarding the installation of air defence guns at Sri Harmandar Sahib.
He said that based on consultation with Additional Head Granthi Giani Amarjeet Singh, only the outer lights were turned off following the district administration’s guidelines. Advocate Dhami pointed out that even during the blackout, large numbers of devotees continued to visit and do Sewa (voluntary service) at Sri Harmandar Sahib, and had there been any such event like gun deployment, the Sangat (congregation) would certainly have noticed and seen it.
He expressed surprise that an Army officer would propagate such a claim and demanded that the Government of India clarify why such statements are being issued by Army officials. Dhami acknowledged the commendable role played by the Army and the country during the tense circumstances, but emphasized that spreading such falsehoods about the central religious place of Sikhs days after the events is shockingly untrue. As SGPC President, Advocate Dhami clearly stated that no permission was ever granted for the deployment of guns.
Sri Harmandar Sahib’s Head Granthi, Giani Raghbir Singh, also clarified that although he was on an international visit during the Army operation, there was no communication with him regarding any gun deployment, nor did any such incident occur at Sri Darbar Sahib. He too described the Army officer’s statement as shockingly untrue.
